"A one horse open sleigh. The exquisitely painted Santa carving features a rustic snowy scene with a meticulously decorated white horse pulling an old fashioned open sleigh. Having made a trip through the thick woods to find the perfect Christmas Tree, three children ride home with their freshly cut tree in the back of their sleigh. In this peaceful country setting, other children bundled up tightly in their fur coats and hats are busy playing in the snow making snow balls and snowmen. In the background situated in a frosty woodsy setting are snow covered log homes with towering evergreen trees beside them. On SantaÕs toy bag is a scene of a family in their sleigh racing through the country village with their three horses working hard to pull their sleigh through the deep snow. Christmas is in the air and the excitement of the season can be felt through each scene of this beautifully painted Santa carving. All Russian Santas made for Reasons to Believe are hand carved from solid linden, also known as either basswood or lime in various parts of the world. Once carved and sanded the Santa is hand painted and finished in extraordinary detail with numerous coats and finally signed or initialed by the artist."
