"Dreams of Winter and Christmas. Two beautifully painted scenes on this tall Santa carving with a lantern held in one hand and a staff in the other. On the front a young girl is one with nature, sitting on a stump in the snowy forest with birds vying for her attention . The spirited figure of Father Frost looks on in admiration. All Russian Santas made for Reasons to Believe are hand carved from solid linden, also known as either basswood or lime in various parts of the world. Once carved and sanded the Santa is hand painted and finished in extraordinary detail with numerous coats and finally signed by the artist."
