Santa and the snow queen. The Snow Queen comforts a small child in her sleigh with the protection and watchful eyes of the birds as they fly over a small village, laden with snow, and children partaking in winter fun. The buildings have a Bavarian feel. Painted in a unique floral pattern in various shades of blue with white accents and gold detail. Santa has a beautiful face and eyes and carries a gold staff with floral crown in his hand. Russian Santas made for Reasons to Believe are hand carved from solid linden, also known as either basswood or lime in various parts of the world. Once carved and sanded the Santa is hand painted and finished in extraordinary detail with numerous coats and finally signed or initialed by the artist.
