A truly stunning piece of Christmas art. At 20 inches tall, this hand carved wooden Santa is packed with detail on virtually every square inch, telling the story of the nativity. The wise men followed the star and the shepherds were visited by angels to announce the birth of Christ. When the wise men and shepherds found him they worshipped him (Luke 2:1-20). Both carving and painting details are remarkable and cannot be described more than by enjoying the photographs. This Russian Santa is completely hand carved from solid linden with traditional carving knives, chisels and gouges. After sanding, each piece is hand painted in detail and signed by the artist. Each of these unique, hand-crafted Santas is a one of a kind work of art.
