Heavy Load Santa with ornately trimmed and detailed coat. This wooden Santa carries a staff in one hand and has a large wooden basket on his back. This is a very stout and dimensional wood carving. Russian Santas made for Reasons to Believe are hand carved from solid linden, also known as either basswood or lime in various parts of the world. Once carved and sanded the Santa is hand painted and finished in extraordinary detail with numerous coats and finally signed or initialed by the artist.
