A striking face and eyes finish this well done little Santa Claus carving. A winter sledding scene is painted on the front and Santa's coat is red with gold trim. He carries a wood-looking staff and has a blue toybag thrown over his shoulder. This Russian Santa is completely hand carved from solid linden with traditional carving knives, chissles and gouges. After sanding, each piece is hand painted in detail and signed by the artist. Each of these unique, hand-crafted Santas are a one of a kind work of art.
