A very robust and beautiful Santa Claus painted in tones of traditional Christmas red with intricate detailing. He has a nice white lacquered beard, deep blue eyes and a wonderful scene painted on his toybag. A Christmas child holding a present with Santa in stride and filled with joy. 3 blue birds fly above him in Christmas morning delight. This Russian Santa is completely hand carved from solid linden with traditional carving knives, chissles and gouges. After sanding, each piece is hand painted in detail and signed by the artist. Each of these unique, hand-crafted Santas are a one of a kind work of art.
