Dreaming of Santa Claus and he hears your Christmas wishes - beautiful coloring of blues and reds with faded monotone scenes of two children. One sits by the fireplace, the other resting in bed, obviously deep in thought. Santa seems to be watching over them and reading their minds. He has a very caring face and eyes and the detail of the painting is remarkable. This Russian Santa is completely hand carved from solid linden with traditional carving knives, chissles and gouges. After sanding, each piece is hand painted in detail and signed by the artist. Each of these unique, hand-crafted Santas are a one of a kind work of art. **Please note - the height dimension of 12 inches indicated on this Santa carving is to the top of Santa's head. The staff is 14 inches in height.
