At 14 inches tall and almost 9 inched in diameter this is a substantial Santa Claus carving. It is a very wintery Christmas piece with a lot of snow, a log cabin, children on both the front and back with squirrels, a dog, a cat, trees, and Santa holding a staff as well as a colorful bird. Santa has a rich brown coat, a large beard and very well done face with beautiful blue eyes. This Russian Santa is completely hand carved from solid linden with traditional carving knives, chissles and gouges. After sanding, each piece is hand painted in detail and signed by the artist. Each of these unique, hand-crafted Santas are a one of a kind work of art.
