This colorful Santa Claus is quite stout and heavy being fully round and so dimensional. He has a very happy and friendly face with warming blue eyes. Reds, blues and accented with gold he has a staff in one hand and is fully loaded for delivery. carvings done in the full round like this one are not very common. This Russian Santa is completely hand carved from solid linden with traditional carving knives, chissles and gouges. After sanding, each piece is hand painted in detail and signed by the artist. Each of these unique, hand-crafted Santas are a one of a kind work of art.
