Though Santa’s first love for speed is to drive his sleigh Christmas Eve around the world at speeds no one can imagine, Santa still likes auto racing. Like Santa, who has been racing around the world for centuries, racing automolbiles have been a source of racing since the construction of the first successful petrol-fueled automobiles. Even before that time people raced in other vehicles such as horse-drawn buggies. The first auto race in the United States took place in Evanston, Illinois on November 28, 1895 with Frank Duryea being the winner. The need to have speed on land or in the sky is a must in my Santa's life.
