Father Christmas with naughty and nice lists. An absolute centerpiece at almost 14 inches in height, considerably larger than the majority of Santas Susan has carved for us over the years (see group photo). This Father Christmas carving has two lists in his hands, one NAUGHTY list and a NICE list with names. Each list is beautifully scrolled, carved with detailed relief, painted and accented as if on old parchment paper. The hooded Santa wears a draping cream colored coat with fur-looking trim on the shoulders. Deep red with gold trim and gold hearts accent the layer underneath his coat. Santa's beard is ubelievably detailed, revealing almost every strand of hair and flows all the way down past his waist. This Father Christmas is a real masterpiece from head to toe and beautifully finished. A one of a kind hand-crafted Santa Claus figure, designed, carved, painted, finished and signed and dated by Susan Mattix.
