A wonderful African American Santa in neutral tones of antiqued cream and browns, accented with holly leaves and a green banner with a NOEL greeting. A couple of candy canes are carved into the base of Santa's robe. He has a beautifully finished face and eyes with extremely detailed hair and beard. Susan's unique finishing of her carvings give them a distinct old English, almost antique appearance. One of a kind design, hand carved, hand painted, signed and dated by Susan Mattix.
