Santa is on the ride of his life sledding down a snowy slope - Wheeeeeee! Phenomenal in all aspects, theme, design, carving detail as well as painting detail. This is the sole piece Mark and Janet have produced in the past 15 months, and considering all the detail in the Santa and sled there was actually twice as much time involved in carving the snow. The sled is accented with holly leaves and berries, pin-cushioned leather looking back rest, metallic rivets or pins, wood runners and handle. The Santa, the sled, and the snow are all carved from the same block of wood - there is nothing laminated, glued, or pinned in this entire piece. Santa's expression says it all. Wheeeeeeee!
